  • Acted for the Government of The Bahamas in connection with the US$2.4-billion proposed redevelopment of Cable Beach near Nassau in conjunction with Baha Mar Developments and Harrah’s
  • Acted for the purchaser on the acquisition of the Delta Bow Valley, Calgary, Delta Bessborough, Saskatchewan and Delta Toronto Airport West hotels in one transaction
  • Acting as Alberta counsel to Holloway Lodging REIT on purchases of 15 hotels in Western Canada, including the Pomeroy portfolio of 10 properties for C$215-million
  • Acted for Aareal Bank on several financings, including the Four Seasons Hotel and the Holiday Inn on King, both in Toronto
  • Advised Düsseldorfer Hypothekenbank on financing for the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver
  • Advised one of the lenders under a syndicated construction financing for the purpose of redeveloping the Ritz-Carlton Montréal
  • Represented Windsor Casino Limited, a joint venture between Hilton Hotels and Caesars World, on its development and construction of Casino Windsor
  • General counsel to Clublink, Canada’s largest developer, owner and operator of golf courses, including acting in the acquisition and development of more than 30 golf courses and resorts, as well as related residential and commercial developments, joint ventures and financings
